twitter developer conference: chirp

A few days back, I received this email from the Twitter, since I had subscribed to their newsletter. This was second from them, since tech crunch leaked about the probable twitter developer conference, and these guys developed a web page about this sometime in Dec.

Devs!

Chirp is less than 30 days away and the event is really starting to take shape. Don’t worry if you are not yet on the list. If you want to be in there for the announcements, to meet the entire Twitter team, and to connect with the developers, media and financiers in attendance, there are still tickets available at http://chirp.twitter.com/sign_up.html.

Yesterday we released more details about the first day. Biz Stone (@biz) will set the tone of the day with Evan Wiliams’ (@ev) delivering a visionary keynote. Ryan Sarver (@rsarver) will share Platform announcements and roadmap details and Dick Costolo (@dickc) will talk about monetization and commercial accounts. We even have a few surprises peppered throughout the day. You can see the complete details at http://chirp.twitter.com/schedule.html.

The second day’s schedule will be available early next week. It has something for everyone. Deep technical tracks for developers, business sessions for managers, policy talks for implementers, birds of a feather roundtables for information sharing, and more. Our goal on the second day is to create an environment for everyone to network, share knowledge and collaborate. So in addition to the formal tracks, we’ll have informal areas dedicated to impromptu, community lead conversations. Twitter employees from all area’s of the company will be in heavy attendance to answer any questions you have. To make it easy, we sought a raw and unique space to make our own: http://twitter.com/Chirp/status/10730332651

Finally — we’re putting the final touches on the competition that will be held on the second day. The panel of judges is impressive. Winners will receive the opportunity to connect with angel investors and get the attention of the press covering Chirp. The only catch: you’ve got to be there to take part!

We’re really excited to get the community under one roof. Send @chirp your ideas to make the event great. We hope to see you there! http://chirp.twitter.com

what is this part III

BBC homepage is a great platform for me to observe and understand few trends about branding and marketing.
I have already posted a blog on  But what this time surprised me is the ad of  Telenor, which i know as Uninor in India.

Through the add, the company shows that how it has gone through several partnerships in various regions for market. This is an interesting case study.

BBC’s way of citizen journalism

It is interesting to see how BBC is engaging its readers to participate as citizen journalist. The top news story on the BBC homepage was Moscow Explosion kills 25. I clicked it to follow the details. The story is some 300 words long, followed by a line break and a sentence with a bigger/bolder font; Are you in Moscow? Did you witness what happened? Send us your eyewitness accounts using the form below.

this is the webpage image for you

PS: the headline of the story-Moscow Explosion kills 25- was changed later on to Deadly explosions on Moscow Metro system, as the death toll increased to 37.
